Winter Solitude

The Solitude of Winter
The Solitude of Winter

After a month of not clicking the shutter, I finally got out for the first time this year.Mother nature provided some mood lighting with a fog that lasted most of the day. My first destination was a waterfall that I never shot in the winter, but it turned out to too frozen for the image I had in mind. So plan b was to stop off at a local nature center on the way home. While there I wandered around for about an hour looking for some inspiration. This tree with the stone bench underneath turned out to be it.Henry David Thoreau was quoted “I never found the companion that was so companionable as solitude” I sometimes get that feeling when I’m out,and there is no one else around.
