Winter is a great time of year to try your hand at black and white photography, with the landscape somewhat devoid of color. This scene caught my eye as I was walking thru my local park late in the day. The line of trees draw your eyes thru the image, as the shadows lay gently across the landscape. I always soot in RAW so this image was captured in color then converted after. All I did was dodge and burn a little around the image and that was it. For those who do not know what dodge and burn is, it’s a technique used to lighten and darken chosen areas of the image. Much like they did in the film days.So don’t let the cold keep you in, dress warm and head out.
