New England Winter Farms

Sometimes the snow is expected, sometimes its a surprise. This first snow of the year was the latter. Falling overnight, I woke up to a winter wonderland. Now the dilemma, where do I go to make some images. With no clear destination in mind I took off north to the town of Kent Connecticut, where the landscape is dotted with wonderful old barns like this one. With the snow still clinging to the trees and everything else. I hurried to capture as many scenes as possible cause the temp was rapidly rising, and soon the fresh snowfall would just a memory. This barn was framed nicely by two trees plus has a leading line of a stone wall in the foreground.I think this is a quintessential winter farm scene in New England.Hence the title…. New England Winter Farms.
